No, guests and children are not permitted during appointments. My full commitment is to you, and having guests can create distractions. The sole exception is for minor clients receiving acne treatment, who must be accompanied by a parent.
**Can I bring my Emotional Support Animal?**
No, animals are not allowed in the treatment room.
**Can I bring my Certified Service Animal?**
If you require your Certified Service Animal during your session, it suggests that, for medical reasons, you may not be the best candidate for some of our services. I recommend scheduling a Virtual Complimentary Consultation to discuss your needs in more detail.
**Can I bring a snack or drink?**
No, snacks and drinks are not allowed in the treatment room, except for water. Please ensure that you have eaten at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment.
**What should I do to prepare for my appointment?**
Prepare by eating at least 30 minutes before your appointment and using the restroom beforehand. Comprehensive pre- and post-care instructions will be emailed to you and discussed during your session.
**What is Paramedical Cosmetics?**
This transformative technique specifically addresses stretch marks and scars to enhance their appearance. Using a specialized device and carefully selected pigments, we match the treatment to your skin tone. Our approach is effective for all skin types, though we take extra care with darker skin tones to prevent hyperpigmentation. Expect to see a 30%-60% improvement after just one session, but for optimal results, we recommend 2-4 treatments.
**What should I expect during the healing phase?**
Initially, the treated area may be swollen and red, with a pronounced color that will naturally fade over time. The pigment introduced will lighten and stabilize within a maximum of 10 weeks.
**Who is not a candidate for Paramedical Cosmetics?**
Certain individuals may not qualify for this treatment, including those:
- With red or purple stretch marks (which are not healed yet; alternative treatments like Scar Relaxation are available)
- Who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- With medical conditions such as hemophilia, diabetes, psoriasis, vitiligo, dermatitis, or keloid scarring
- With open wounds, skin irritations, pigmented lesions, or bleeding disorders

**Am I a candidate for waxing services?**
You may not be suited for waxing if you have any of the following:
- **Skin Conditions:** Avoid waxing on areas with cuts, bruises, sunburns, rashes, or irritation. Conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis can worsen during waxing.
- **Medications:** Certain medications or topical treatments (e.g., Retin-A, Accutane, oral steroids) can increase sensitivity, so consult your healthcare professional if you're on any medication that may affect your skin.
- **Recent Treatments:** If you've had chemical peels, laser treatments, microdermabrasion, or similar procedures recently, wait until your skin has fully healed before waxing.
- **Pregnancy:** Pregnant women may experience increased sensitivity or changes in their skin, making waxing uncomfortable. I strongly advise consulting your doctor before waxing during pregnancy.
- **Allergies:** If you have allergies to wax components (such as beeswax, resins, fragrances, or dyes), it's best to avoid waxing to prevent reactions. At Blissful Image, we exclusively use hypoallergenic wax suitable for sensitive skin. - **Medical Conditions:** Clients with conditions like varicose veins, diabetes, hemophilia, or immune disorders should exercise caution when considering waxing.

*Appointment Policies & Retainer Agreement**
This agreement is between Blissful Image/Sharlyn C. Marquez ("Service Provider") and the undersigned client ("Client"). By signing below, the Client acknowledges and agrees to the following policies:
**Appointment Policies**
- Arrival Time: Please arrive at least 5 minutes early. Clients arriving more than 10 minutes late may not receive their full service time. If you are 15+ minutes late, your appointment will need to be rescheduled, and additional fees may apply.
- Electronic Devices: The use of mobile phones and other electronic devices is not permitted during your appointment.
- Food & Beverages: Only water is allowed in the service area. No other food or drinks are permitted.
- Children & Guests: For safety and focus, please do not bring children or guests to your appointment.
**Retainer & Cancellation Policy**
- Retainer Requirement: A non-refundable, non-transferable retainer is required to secure an appointment.
- Cancellations & Rescheduling: Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid forfeiting the retainer.
- No-Call/No-Show Policy: Clients who miss two (2) appointments without notice will no longer be eligible for services at Blissful Image/Sharlyn C. Marquez. A dismissal notification will be sent via email and mail.
- Appointment Confirmation: Once you have scheduled your appointment, a confirmation email will be sent, and your appointment will be considered **CONFIRMED**.
**Liability & Waiver**
- No Refunds: All fees, including retainers, are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Liability Release: The Client releases Blissful Image/Sharlyn C. Marquez and its authorized personnel from any claims, demands, or liabilities related to services provided.
